There are at least 66 varieties of the domesticated Rabbits. Some varieties are Angora, Belgain, Dutch, Himalayan and Lop. Rabbits can adapt to cold weather but are unfortunately highly susceptible to heat stroke therefore, keeping your Rabbit inside is better for his well being. Rabbits enjoy being handled by their owners and will recognize their primary care giver but will not learn tricks like a dog or cat or be as affectionate. Its is recommended that you spay or neuter your Rabbit as overpopulation can occur quickly when they are caged together. It is important to support a Rabbits’s back feet when holding him. This is because if he does not feel that his feet are secure, he may kick or scratch out of fear.
