Their beautiful double coats come in black, blue merle, red merle, and red, with or without white and copper markings.
History
The Toy Australian Shepherd was developed in the United States by selectively breeding smaller Australian Shepherds while preserving the breed’s intelligence, athleticism, and strong work ethic. Although smaller in stature, Toy Aussies retain the same loyal temperament and versatility that have made Australian Shepherds one of America’s most popular breeds. Today, they excel as family companions and in activities such as obedience, agility, rally, and therapy work.

Toy Australian Shepherds are affectionate, intelligent, and incredibly loyal to their families. They enjoy being involved in everything their owners do and form strong bonds with both adults and children. Like their larger counterparts, they have natural herding instincts and benefit from early socialization and consistent training.
