Hamster (Dwarf)

There are many varieties of dwarf hamster, but all tend to be friendly and rarely nip or bite. Their amusing antics, small size, and ease of care make them wonderful companion animals.

Personality
Dwarf hamsters are energetic and curious. They love to run in a wheel or (when supervised) a hamster ball.
Diet
Eats commercial food, with limited grains, vegetables, fruits and timothy hay.
Environment
Keep in a solid cage or one with closely spaced bars. Add plenty of toys for playing and chewing.
Socializing
Solitary animals, but may be kept in same sex groups if they are raised together.
